The testing field is constructed as a high- voltage source with adequate electrodes and monitoring instruments. This is why special safety measures must be taken to protect persons performing tests. It is well known that working with high voltage is dangerous. It is already for fields of few kv/cm in air, which are needed for reliable and repeatable tests, that high voltage is required. The attainable electrostatic force in air is some times smaller than the attainable magnetic force in air. It describes tests demonstrating the electric field in the vicinity of some forms of electrodes, force on a charged body in the electric field and effects of large electric field strengths in air-gas. The paper deals with the high-voltage testing field designed as a testing aid in the area of the electrostatic field as needed for the laboratory students experimenting in basics of electrical engineering. the force on the electric charge that is perceivable. Omogoča prikaz elektrostatičnega polja med vzporednima ravnima elektrodama, med koncentričnima okroglima elektrodama in med ravno elektrodo in konico. Za poskuse iz elektrostatičnega polja je zgrajeno visokonapetostno preskusno polje. Električno in magnetno polje zaznamo posredno po njihovih učinkih sili na elektrine. neposredno niso senzorji za električno in magnetno polje.
